Hello All! I just wanted to introduce myself as I have been frequenting the site for many years but figured I would make it official and create my first post. I bought my first FJ40 about 17 years ago and it was my daily driver for a several years while living in the Los Angeles area. Unfortunately, I ended up selling it to buy a new car more suited for the crazy LA commute. I now live in Omaha, spend much less time in traffic and have enough garage space for an extra vehicle. Over the past few years I have been searching for just the right rig to fill the void and this week I finally purchased a 1974 FJ40. Yes, I know the bezel is upside down, I bought it that way and just haven't flipped it yet. I'm very excited to be behind the wheel once again and look I forward to wrenching on a true classic for the years to come. I feel fortunate to have access to the wealth of knowledge this site and its members provide!

Great Truck ! Enjoy !

Thank you for the warm welcomes! For now I am just looking enjoying her as she sits and getting to know her a little better. I need to get the top off and enjoy the rest of the summer and then I am sure I will have a nice little list of projects for winter. I will post up some additional photos when I get a chance.

Welcome! :flipoff2:

If you're gonna take the bezel off to flip it you might as well take an off-white spray bomb and make it white again too.... just my opinion.

Good looking 40! Looks like you have a real good rig there. From one woodbutcher to another, WELCOME.

Should you choose to flip & paint the bezel like @Awl_TEQ mentions, go to your local FLAPS store and grab a rattle can of Dupli-Color BFM0041 Wimbledon White....It's not a perfect match, but veddy-close. :hillbilly:

Oh, "Welcome to the Asylum!"

Oh, "Welcome to the Asylum!"
Thanks for the tip on the paint. I picked up a can last night and will be taking care of that very soon!

Great looking cruiser. You were wise to buy a runner. Good work on the roof storage, I need something like that.

Welcome to the rabbit hole...Have fun!

Welcome :flipoff2:, Nice 40. Looks to be in pretty good shape.

Very nice rig! Interested in the way you made the lift--
