This is starting to drive me bonkers. I'm in Oregon for what it's worth, may be moisture related? Here's what's happened:
  • A few months back I went to fire up my 95 (260K miles, a bit of a beater but it's been reliable) for a grocery run and it would crank but wouldn't catch. Fiddled with it a bit, googled, put a new fusible link in, started right up.
  • I drove it at least a couple times per week for a while with no issues.
  • We had a wet cold snap that included ice and a lot of rain in mid-January. I went to take the cruiser to the gym when it thawed out and back to crank no start. I do have a CEL with the key turned to on FWIW. I went through the whole troubleshooting guide, spark and fuel were fine, but just didn't make any progress. After a few nights of trying things I started buying parts, picked up a new EFI relay and plug wire set. Went to install today, decided to crank it once for kicks before digging in and it fired right up.
Any ideas? Happy it's running again but I can't imagine this is the end of it.
