Hey y'all, I just wanted to go over the fix for my previous windshield wiper issue! Maybe some will find it useful if you have an imported 80 series where the windshield wiper motors are basically obsolete.
As I was diagnosing the windshield wiper motor working on and off I decided to remove the distributor cap that on the wiper motor where the wiring harness plug into the wiper motor. Behind the cap there is a distributor that circulates for the rotations of the wipers. On the underside is the electrical strip which rotates while receiving power from the switch. Mine was super gunked up so the strip wasn't receiving power all the time. I cleaned it up and got the electrical strip clear and the motor is working like its brand new again!
