I have a bad ignition lock cylinder in the pig that I think I f'd up while trying to remove the cylinder from the steering column. I removed it because the cylinder had a broken key in it. Anyway, I've been searching for a cheap replacement and have seen two versions of the ignition lock cylinder. One with the push to unlock tab and one without. The one without is almost twice as expensive as the one with the push to unlock tab.

Any reason why I could just cut off the tab and bypass that feature?

With the lock tab.
