This wire with connector is hanging below intake on driver side of engine. Anyone know what it is or where it connects? No check engine lights and truck runs normal. 1997 FZJ80

what does the actual connector end (plug in end) look like? There are like 4 or 5 sensor connections down there. They all have unique plug ends.

that looks like the harness side of the connection, meaning the that is the back side of the plug that should be wired into the harness. The yellow looking circles are the seals that keep the connection clean on the wiring harness side. The other side that underneath goes to the sensor.
Of course I could be mistaken, but it look like the wire attached to that connector broke off of it.

Might be one of these.

If my memory is still holding up, there are only 9 connectors coming off the harness excluding the 6 injector connectors and the connectorsfor the throttle body and dizzy. By a process of elimination you can rule out the 2 knock sensors which are single pole connectors. The same for the guage temp sensor and the starter motor.
There is a triangle shaped connector (crank) and a circle shape connector for one of the coolant sensors.
That leaves 2 connectors. 1 is the ECU ECT sensor and has a green connector and the other is the EGR temp sensor.
It looks like yours is not just disconnected but has some of the sensor housing broken off as well. My money is on the ECT sensor because according to my notes it had a yellow coloured core.

Either way i imagine there must be a code for the guilty party.

ECT Sensor? Are you sure it attaches to the Block? There are also several vacuum switches mounted to the intake manifold...
