Where in MI? You might need to go past here on your way to TX. If you're in the area- I'll buy you lunch. I'm in Elkhart, IN, right off 80/90. PM me if you want.

Before I was laid off I use to visit Elkhart a lot. Over the last 5 years I spent a total of 5 or 6 months there. But they shutdown one of the plants I supported there and dramatically reduce personnel at the other site I supported there, as well as other sites in other states.

You need to take him to Heinnies or the Chubby Trout. Those are the only places I remember cept national chain spots. Oh ya, and that Irish sports bar... And I just remembered another place, but forgot its name. Its on the lake right across the MI border.

Being from Texas I was always shocked by all the lake affect snow ya'll get there... Stay warm this winter!

Heinnies is a good place for steak. Chubby Trout has been too greasy for my taste the times I've been there. We have a new brew-pub in town that is pretty decent. If Kowboy wants to come this way- I'll let him pick what he's hungry for.

Who did you used to support here in town? Oh, and thanks for looking me up when you were in town.:flipoff2:

Ya, the trouts are a bit too chubby for my tastes too but I always loved the name. Same guy that owns Lunkers I believe.

The parent company is called Woodgrain Millwork. They had a dist site and a mfg plant under a 100 names on Hively which is closed down completely now. The site still open was called Doors Plus on Industrial Parkway before becoming a Woodgrain company. Is that Gurly Leep dealership still open? I always called it Girly Jeep.

I've only known these Toy folks a short time cuz (former and still current Jeeper..but owned Toys too) trust me I would have loved to hang out with a wheeler while I was there. It was mostly work, beer store (had frequent flyer miles at the liquor store on Cassopolis) and hotel for me when I went. I regret not visiting that museum with the trains when I was there. You been? I got some good photos of the firefighter monument downtown covered in snow.
