Well he did say "about 50% full", so 800-1100# depending on which side of "half" it is. And I've pulled heavier loads than that with my car; admittedly not on a 3 hour drive though. But in any case, I can always drive my tow rig if needs be; 1900# will be a shade under it's 60,000# tow capacity so I think I can make it happen.

Just take your little trailer, Steve. Problem solved...
That's the plan... unless you're being facetious and you mean my car trailer in relation to my tow rig? :hhmm: Cause that would also qualify as a "little trailer" in relative terms. :hillbilly:

Nope. Little trailer behind little Toyota. Match made in thrifty heaven :hillbilly:

How does it get set on said trailer? Are those wire caged units on skids?

Yeah the caged plastic totes have a metal "pallet" of sorts that's built in with the cage. My little trailer that Jordan referred to is a 5x8, flat, tilt-bed with a small winch on the front. As long as I could get the trailer within about 10' of the tote, I can just drag it to and up the trailer.

Nice.

Put a tank here and we'll fill it. I can give you a few gallons a month for sure
Bodean - Did ya see my post (https://forum.ih8mud.com/ms-cottonland-cruisers/537793-i-want-your-used-oil.html#post7149655) right after ^this one^ of yours? Just wondering if there's a place to drop a tank that will be convenient for a large amount of people? I may work something out with offr0adlim0 and be swapping out tanks there; Is that already pretty central or is there another place central to another group? I think I can get as many tanks as I need.

I've got a 250 gallon tank here at the shop. As of now its about 50% full. Saftey Clean has been emptying it about once a month. If you want it your more than welcome to come pick it up when its full. Also I dont mind if fellow Cottonlanders want to bring by what they have that way it will be in one location.
offr0adlim0 - I PM'd ya about coming to get what you currently have ASAP if you're willing. I may be able to make the trip this weekend if you're around. Lemme know if we can work something out. Thanks.

I dont check my email too offten just got your message today. The tank I have looks like a old oil tank for a house furnace so swapping wont be an option but you are welcome to come get what I have. Its at about 2/3 full now. Ill pm my phone number to you later and you can just give me a shout when your ready.

So can I come to the shop to drop off my oil? I'd rather do that than give it to WM

LOL Yeah!

To me, this shows what CottonLand family is all about - helping others, regardless of how unique the challenge and request, cuz let's be real - this is definitely not the norm.

Get it, Steve!!!

Thanks Jordan, and thanks CLC!

This certainly isn't the norm - but then again, what with me ever is?

I want to try to go get this oil some time next week - maybe Monday or Tuesday night. I really need it before I leave for Christmas but we'll see what happens.

Bring it. if Im not here the tank in in front of the shop. you cant miss it.

I'm heading down Tuesday evening to pick up from Rob's shop. Not that I'll have a lot of time to stay, but is anyone doing anything? Just figured that if I'm in the area, I shouldn't be a stranger.

Thanks Rob for coming out and meeting me on Tuesday night and helping me set up in the rain. Thanks Jordan for getting me the tanks and the info I needed to rebuild my air pump. Setup worked out pretty good; needs a bit of "fine tuning", but that's already in the works. Next time I come to get oil from offr0adlim0's shop, it should go two or three times faster.

No ploblem glad I could help you out. I just added 25.5 gallons of unleaded from the duramax to the tank. Ill give you a shout when it gets about 3/4 full.
