decent runner and driver... just dented enough to wheel it without worry :D

I've got the rusty 73' tbi 350 sm420 rockbox cruiser case, soa 5.29's locked both ends, pto winch, ff rear axle, hydro assist steering to a scout box... I can install all that on the red 77 and have a solid rig.

I know, but was curious what was swapping to where.....possible that subconsciously, almost in a circling vutlurish sort of way. Haha.

Nice find. Be a good project to watch.

OK I think after running the vacuum in the 77' last night I can safely say......

this pig was used by trimmers in the emerald triangle :pig::smokin::pig:

-it was plucked from an impound lot.

-half doobie under rear seat.

-soil build up on the floors like 2"!

-strange leaves with a funny star shape in the inner wheel wells.

-packs worth of cig butts on the floor along with loads of candy wrappers.

-It is from the Sacramento area!

The interior smells like a mix of body odor, soil, weed, and cig smoke :D

I did find one rust spot on the floor under the rear seat but overall the floor pans are really good. The rest of the interior is totally molested, dash is cracked, ignition switch is hacked, DS back door handle is barely hanging on, the windows aren't operating smooth, the headliner is falling apart, front seat is totally destoyed, rear cargo panels are missing, rear window is missing, rear gate latch mechanism is missing (has a gate latch sheetmetal screwed onto it!), generally, the interior needs ripped out and coated to make it sanitary :)

I am still trying to decide if the parts from the 73' go onto the 77' chassis and body or the 77' body goes onto the 73' frame. I need to lay under each and take a closer look.

Ha! I put the chopped 73 body and guts onto my running 77 chassis and run it! the 77 on the 73 will be put back together with used parts- do a disk brake front end, and then registered as a 73. it won't be correct cause of the front doors, but it'll be as the factory intend for it to be. No FSR, no added mounting points on the frame, no changed suspension geometry, just a stockish chassis, with a stockish wagon body on it. Cheers! and keep the windows down in that red pig! driving while getting a contact high is not a good idea..

slap a dancing bear on that thing and call it period correct;)

Yo Jeff,
We Appalachian cruiser guys miss you, I know I do, you were great for that club!! Hope to see you someday again, maybe at Rausch. Steve

Steve thanks man! Been a couple years now since I've made it to PA... I'm due : )

Is there a thread on your 77 pig?
Not Yet, She sure is ugly though. After getting screwed by an engine builder, I'm rebuilding my engine in my 40, so that has taken all my time and money lately.
