I got round cup holders for my 80

See, now your thinking. A simple cheap solution. Sometimes I WAY over think things and make the solution way too complicated. I bet I can find a manufacturer of those that sells them in bulk and can just add a blank black one with each purchase. That way the folks with the 20oz. can will be able to use the cup holder without the travel mug insert and still have a tight fit. Now the hunt begins for finding the insulator for a great bulk price. Hopefully I can find them cheap enough that I can just add them in for free.

Seems like a lot of work to cater to all types of cups... I just keep a couple foam koozies in the center console - if the cup/bottle fits loosely in the holders (I have a single @bhicks holder, and the @musthave stainless insert for the factory console,) put the koozie on it. Bonus to the koozie is that there are zero rattles!

And here you go. Just bought a batch.

They end up being $.30 a piece when bought in bulk. I can handle that. This allows me to not have to do a design change and still help fix the 20oz. soda issue. I hope nobody will complain with the cheap fix if it's free. Even if it ends up being not a perfect solution for the 20oz. soda, it's not a big expense. It would have cost me way more to do a design change and prototype it. It will still be a good addition to the cup holders. I'm going to start including one with every cup holder. I will also toss them up on my website once delivered for the folks who want one and already bought a cup holder. I will only charge the cost to ship them. Should be $2-3 max. Perfect! Easy fix and free stuff. Can't beat that.

Are we still a go for that other project?

Just got the shipping notice on the koozies. After a good night sleep the 200 Koozies is starting to sound a tad insane. Oh well; they are already on their way.

So it looks like the tracking info on the koozies shows delivery tomorrow. Since all orders are painted to order and ship the next day or day after (depending on when they get painted); I can now say that all cup holder orders from here on out will come with a black koozie. Those awkward shapped 20oz. soda bottles can get wrapped and fit snuggly in the cup holder (fingers crossed). If you end up ordering a rear double then you can just store it in the lower tray when not using it. Not really sure a koozie is a selling point, but hopefully it will at least be a simple fix to a minor issue. I have a 20oz coke bottle sitting next to me right now waiting on the koozie test fit. Even if it's not a perfect fit I will still ship all cup holders with a koozie just so I can get rid of all 200 of them.

Sorry for the delayed update on the koozies. They were delivered on Friday and when I went to box up my weekend orders on Sunday evening I finally opened up the box from ebay. I got a little surprise. They were hot pink with the playboy bunny logo on them. Apparently my order got sent to some beer drinking pimp and I got his. New order was quickly sent out. I had to hold off on shipping orders until I got black koozies. The koozies came in this morning and all orders were shipped out immediately following. They hold the 20oz bottle quite well in the standard insert that comes with every cup holder. I drove around on a bumpy road for a while to see if it would tip over and all is good.
Now I just need to get rid of these 200 koozies.

Craap. I shouldn't have mentioned the "bunny" part. This thread just took an odd turn.

Is it possible to do a front double WITH the larger flashlight holder, like you have on the rears? Either towards the driver, towards passenger, OR both?

I have a vacation starting Saturday. I have 17 days off. I can look into a flash light holder for the front double cup holder to match the rear. I just have to make sure it doesn't interfere with anything like the shifter or "pwr" or "2nd" buttons. Give me a week and I will have some answers.

No worries, enjoy the down time. By the way, congrats on the baby girl. Enjoy every minute of it. In the blink of an eye, she'll be a mouthy teenager that's too cool to hang out with Dad. It seems like just yesterday, I was rocking my daughter, the first night home from the hospital. She's 13 now & next week she'll be going off to college or getting married. Enjoy it now, once it's gone, it's gone.

As far as interference on the flashlight holder, I've got a '91 & there isn't the pwr/2nd buttons to worry about.

It might not interfere on a 91 but I want to make sure it's more universal so it can fit on all 80 years.

you stirred up some emotions here. Mine is almost 13 and that's exactly how I feel.

So I had a slow lunch break so I decided to crank out the "flash light holder" request. Here's what I came up with. It does not interfere with the buttons. I'm pretty sure it should not interfere with anything but I will have to print one out and test fit to be sure. These pics may seem very confusing. the Tan color is the custom supports I had to make for the print. The print is printed upside down. Those squarish tabs are 3D printing custom "feet" that help the 20hour+ print stick to the flatform during printing. Once the print is finished and removed from the platform; those feet are then snapped off as well as the supports. some sanding and acetone remove any remainder of there existence.

I realized those pics may be a tad confusing so here is a print set up digitally so you can see how this prints in the machine.
