Nice truck! You are way ahead of what I started with in my first Fj purchase.

I caved and ordered some of the parabolic springs from Georg. I expected them to cost more than they did. I think they also look odd but I want to drive this thing a lot. They’re on the slow boat headed this way so I’m hoping to pick them up when I get back from Trail Hero.
I went back and forth a bit. I don’t like the way they look but I went to Valley Hybrids and talked to Georg about them. His experience is that they ride better than the other 2 top brands. I trust him and his opinion so that’s what I went with. I was also very happy with the price he quoted and they put together a package that had exactly what I wanted for every piece. I’ll let you know what I think once they’re on.Waiting patiently to hear your thoughts on these once installed. Also interested to hear your decision process in choosing them, too. Any insight you can share?
Great truck, I look forward to watching your continued progress.
Thank you! This isn’t my first cruiser so that’s why I looked for one this complete. I knew there would be some challenges with a vehicle that has been sitting since 1979 but I think it’s cool to bring it back and give it a new life!Nice truck! You are way ahead of what I started with in my first Fj purchase.
Nice rig!!! Being honest, like your pup even more. Build pics must include both pls! That would be awesome.
Ive been making some slow progress. I flushed the radiator and engine then replaced all the hoses and the belt. I tried to drop the seats off to have the springs repaired and the new covers/foam installed but one shop was on vacation and the other quoted me $1000 for the job and 3 weeks wait. I’ll get the springs swapped out from a donor seat and get the covers put on when the guys return from vacation.
Work was a little slow last week with my new shop helper distracting me but I didn’t mind!

Haha, I do too! The pup is Merle. He’s up at the house with the Mrs. This is Wylie and he’s my main shop buddy although Merle is figuring it out too. Wylie needs a few ball throws now and then and he’s a happy boy.Nice rig!!! Being honest, like your pup even more. Build pics must include both pls!
Wylie is the same, we have to take the ball and put it up if we’re not actively throwing it.Like Merle! I have an English Cream version. Lonestar we call him. One thing he tries to do is bring his fetch ball to the shop and drop it on the floor. I had to keep him out as he would drop it on top of grease spots or grinding dust. Also metal shavings that can get on his feet. Just sharing.
Saw this today. I’ve bought from him before if you are still looking for lenses
The angle is a little deceiving, it’s a 34. I had a 33 Tudor and then picked this one up and traded the 33 to my dad for a 34 Plymouth hotrod. It’s original paint other than the fenders that a PO painted black, and poorly at that.Looks like a 33 Ford 5 window coupe? Or a 34 but the hood louvers look a curved from this angle making it a 33.
This is my dad’s coupe. So a little partial to Fords!
Haha, only on the screen with fuzzy pictures and bad lighting but she’s really complete and very little rust. She's a creampuff!
Thank you! It’s the terrain tamer kit. They call it 50mm so 2”.Looks great!
Is the lift OME or TT? 2-1/2”?
I can look in my stash in a few days. I can't recall if i have one.The trans looks great inside but the 2-3 shift fork is pretty sticky. I followed Georg’s advise and added some atf and it seems to be slowly loosening up. I have some loose ends to tie up before its first road trip but I’m getting close! I still need a right side taillight bucket if anyone has any ideas on where to check. I thought I had hunted a pair down but it didn’t pan out in the end.
