I am new to 80's looking for nerf bars

I just made my wife and kids learn to climb or jump. A stock height 80 isn't exactly tall. My wife is 5'1" and can get up in my 92 without steps. Plus I like watching her lift her leg up high like that! :grinpimp:

This was like April, 2009.

I'm not sure I believe this story. The guy in the picture is wearing shoes. Joey doesn't own any shoes. Only flip flops.

I have searched High and low online and cant seem to find any cheap nerf bars/steps. Now I have realized that the consensus here is to get sliders. I like the sliders but they are a bit pricey right now. I just purchased my 1996 LC and I have a lot of work to do on it, but in the mean time I would like something that will make it easier to get into and out of especially for the wife and kids. Needless to say mine does not have running boards and there is not a big LC presence in my area (Memphis). Is there any company out there that makes a set of nerf bars for the 80? Thanks for any info

I live in Memphis and would be more than willing to donate my stock ones to your cause. I haven't taken them off yet because I don't need any more clutter in my garage.

I really appreciate that but I have already ordered some rock sliders...thank you though.

I have a set of factory running boards in southeast Missouri you can have if you come get them. Only about 140 miles from Memphis.

I agree with Jonheld..... if you buy Smittybuilt trash.... you WILL be sorry! Smittybuilt was formed to supply all the Heep twits with “cool looking” off road stuff for their ashphalt warriors! It wasn’t built to take a hit!
You posses any fab skills? I HATE buying stuff when I can build it cheaper and better. I live by the motto “built... not bought”. There are plenty of guys on here that make killer stuff, and they know their Cruisers! Look up LANDCRUISERPHIL, NLXTACY, Cruiser Outfitters, or Trail Tailor (sp?). These guys make top of the line equipment, and they know their s***...... good luck to you!
