I'll admit I cut it partially by accident, then just cut it all out. No issues so far. Doesn't really seem to be weak or flexible in the direction the brace is supporting.

I don't precisely remember what the divider piece looked like, but I recall it was not like a nice compartment divider, it was just a support bar with kinda rough edges. It didn't totally seal off the two sides, so it wouldn't keep smaller items from rolling around in there, but it would keep you from putting larger items in at all. I was planning to leave it, but that sawzall had some inertia and plans of its own. I'm glad it's gone, until it causes problems, but I don't expect any.Do you like having one big space or does it seem like having the center as a divider would be better?
