Black LCs, (80 series and newer) are really starting to grow on me. Especially that single stage 202, no clear and no metallic so the pinstripes and scratches can be massaged out, and be made to really shine.

Working on replacing some older recovery gear and the tire repair kit was on the list. Pretty complete set up and they give you 30 plugs.

My lift gate supports were barely doing anything so I ordered some from www.LiftGateSupports.com and what a difference.

This is how far it would open prior to replacing them. You could push it up and it would stay but... Now it opens all the way on its own when you open it.

Be sure and hold it up. ;)

While the tape deck phone mount worked well on the road it would come loose after extended dirt time. Solution is the M2V2 build from BenCC.

Removing the bezel start with the lower corners and work your way up. Top middle is the most stubborn to pop out

Support bracket mounted to the back of the bezel

Ram mount I had on hand required a bit of massaging with the Dremel.

Nice fit and finish

Mounted up with a short B2B Ram arm and my mount with QI charger built in.

Yup... looks good and on my list from Jason as well.
And actually that Rhino tire kit is in my Amazon box to add to the kit for recovery gear. First impressions from opening up and handling everything (not necessarily using)?

Seems solid for sure, pretty complete kit IMO.

Ordered a TJM T17 bumper for the front along with the winch cradle. Sadly they are 4-6 weeks out but oh well. In the meantime I though I would get everything else lined up for the install including a new winch. I've had good luck with Warn winches in the past but though I would try something a little different. I must say I am pretty impressed with the build quality and features on this Gen 3 XRC 9500 lb winch. I'll upgrade the line and fairlead at a later time more than likely.

Trail Tailor recovery points for the win. These things are stout. One of my OEM ones was tweaked so it seemed like a good time to replace them.

Did you use extended bolts or just reuse the stock bolts?

Build is looking good! Will be lurking to see when that bumper and winch get installed!

Thanks, its been fun. I did reuse the OEM bolts but ordered some extended ones (grade 8) to mount the TT recovery points along with the TJM bumper when it arrives.

Do you feel 9500 is enough for the 100? Seems 10 at a minimum or 12 is preferred.

It should be. I have always heard that the winch should be rated a minimum of 1 and 1/2 the weight of the vehicle. Stock hundo is 5280 lbs, figure 700 pounds in people, sliders, skids and recovery gear on the roof and in the back as well as the soon to be bumper and winch. That would put the weight about 6000 lbs. So the winch should be rated at a minimum of 9000 lbs. I also will carry a snatch block. Also early on in my journey I though about using a warn M8000 I had and was cautioned against that, and told a 9500 Lb winch was generally sufficient for our rigs. Really don't want the weight of a 12k winch on the front to be honest.

Pulled the trailer and crew for a boon-docking experience at Mancos state park. Got better mileage than I thought would at 10.5 MPG on 89 octane with 5 people, dog, generator and wet camper.
