Remove the engine cover and open up the harness near where the #1 coil wire comes out. Tap into the black/yellow wire. I would take a photo for you, except that it is now under the cover.![]()

Our Fans RLA is 7.5a
7.5 *1.25= 9.375 Using our fan the power should be fused at 10a using minumun 16awg (our harness uses 14awg)

Any tips on making the hole for the switch? How did you guys do it? What size hole? Did you end up gluing the new switch to the old plate?
Fan noise sounds about right. On my 80 series it is every bit that loud (and pitch) on my LX not nearly so much, so yours sounds like it falls about in the middle.
Just run it. You should have no problems.
What kind of temp gauge is that?^^^^^ That agrees with what I get (factory aux fan on my 99 LX470)
Ambient 92° F. Vent temp 41-42° F.
