I have an AC leak.

Going to the shop tomorrow. I think I want to block off the rear unit.

The only time I ever use it is If I remember it's there every 5 years or so and run it.

How would I go about blocking it off? Any parts required?

Plisken? I thought you were dead.

How about just… stick with me here… fix the leak?

I would only considering deleting the rear unit if the leak was in the rear and the repair was inaccessible.

I ended up TIG welding the pipes after the block off caps failed in about 2 years.

I made some solid aluminum plugs to tap into the end of the pipes to make sure I had some good material to burn into, since I'm "a grinder and paint makee the welder I ain't" kind of welder.

That was pretty easy. How much easier it could it be? 😂

Recommend running the rear AC at least once every 2 weeks to keep the seals lubed.

The pic looks simple, the installation description not so much.

I ain't ever gonna remember to run that every two weeks. Probably only ran it 3 times in 23 years, LOL!
