A built 4l80e would be plenty strong for your motor.
From what I’ve heard the driveshaft won’t clear the case of the 4L80

80 series guys do it by running a thinner shaft. But I'm not sure that would work on a 60. A nv4500 would also hold up if u want a manual transmission. From what I’ve heard the driveshaft won’t clear the case of the 4L80
Depends on who you talk to...From what I’ve heard the driveshaft won’t clear the case of the 4L80
Coberly put a 502 Chevy big block in a 60. It held up, but he didn't roast it either..
Not planning on dogging it too much. Pretty set on using the H42 and Marks adapter. Ive got two of them with t cases and I just rebuilt one of the t cases that’s on the back of a low mileage trans. I think it’ll be fine as long as I exercise some mechanical sympathy. I may take this LS out of the 60, replace it with a 5.3 and put the stroker in something else later. I’ve always wanted to build a monster LS and put it in a light car but I can’t have two projects right now and there’s no way I’m selling my 60.
I hate my H42 behind a Marks adapter fwiw. Id shoot for a 5 speed.
Sell it to me and swap in an nv4500

You might want to upgrade to an 80 front suspension swap to be able to drive it like you stole it....View attachment 2255641
Trying to build the fastest FJ62 in the US.
I think a 650ish hp 398 LS stroker will get me there

What cam, heads, intake? Fuel system? looks like you went on Ls1tech and just bought everything you saw in the first three build threads. 650whp NA? Good luck
Agreed with above statement. I've built a few LS motors and they can put out great hp numbers... they are great motors dont get me wrong, and Im not trying to diminish Totheredline's goals but fastest fj60 is a strange goal, let alone chasing a number like 650 wheel with NA and 4wd. The blueprint 6L in my truck on the dyno last year barely cleared 400 and I am definitely overpowering the chassis.

Nope, it’s currently a VA antique and will be registered in Florida when it’s back on the road. Catalytic converters and smog pumps belong in the trash. Or on my eBay account where I can sell them to chumps in Cali.No smog check I assume
Might want to consider a different oil pan for the swap or make sure the one you are considering using will work and not hit
