Thanks Guys.. Everyone is accounted for, and The rest will be in the mail today!

a Few notes when you get the Decals - Have a big Table ready to unroll the decal when you get it, dont try and pull it out of the tube without space to unroll it. The decal is more fragile while its on the backing paper than once its installed, but most any crease will be is in the backing paper of the vinyl, not the vinyl itself.

I shipped all these decals without pealing the excess vinyl, So this means you will need to peal it out yourself, it gives you some practice material, so you can play with laying it out on your truck and get a feel for it before you install the actual decal

Any other Questions post them here, or Email me - Trevor@crawlorado.com..

Thanks MUD!

My decal showed up today. Here is a quick photo of mine installed. it looks lighter under the led lights in my garage but it is flat black in the daylight outside. I will get a better pic tomorrow.

Trevor at Crawlorado said they're ready to produce the 100 Series Blackout panel. Crawlorado makes the hood blackout panels for the 60s, the 80s, the FJC, the 4Runner, Land Rovers... but not the 100... until now.

Trevor said they'd create the template (and whatever else they do) if we can get him 5 buyers. Price would be $80 shipped.

Why a vinyl blackout, a.k.a. glare, panel?
  • They knock down the glare from the sun - more common off-road because of odd angles; also happens on the street when conditions are just right... or wrong
  • They go on with soapy water and a squeegee - and peel off when/if you decide to go back to stock
  • They look cool. I've built/modified lots of SUVs and Jeeps and noticed something... when a relatively conservative truck or SUV is modified and the body is left stock, it can look disconnected - like it's "riding" on that modified chassis. Sliders, roof racks and bumpers can work to create more of an integrated look. I think the blackout panel can be a subtle way to tie the body to the black bumpers, sliders, rack, etc - furthering that integrated look. ($.02)
I'm in. So, we need 4 more.

Details:
  • Solid matte black - no cut-outs
  • 3M film (secret specs)
  • Size to follow existing hood center hump - similar to pictured Land Rover but slightly narrower

They made them for the LX and LC a few years ago. Are they making LC and LX versions, or just the LC version?

The thread from a few years ago.
Blacked out hood

Waiting on a window of good weather to install mine but just have a quick question that I didn't see asked yet. What's required to un-install if I decide I don't want it down the road?
