Holy crap. Just bought TWO HJ47s!

I'd better subscribe to your magazine if you're going to be doing a writeup on the troopy

Yes indeed and thank you, sir! We have suspension in place to test on it, front bumper, wheels, tires, rack, tent, armor, and more. I am very jazzed about this build--new, unique parts we haven't put on previous Cruisers!

Dave

Congratulations on BOTH counts, David !! And to anyone who doesn't subscribe to the mag, you should. Great articles and pics. Looking forward to seeing these beasts !! Alex

I second the recommendation to subscribe. I started getting issues about a year ago, and I find that I read and re-read every issue front to back.

I need to go back and get back issues. Is there any way I can buy a set prior issues, so I didn't miss anything?

Thanks, and congrats on the ring!
Kelly

So I'll be in Australia in 3 weeks, what do I need to do to make sure my trip ends up the same? :D

"Sweet Az"

Is that $2500 for shipping and ~$3500 for each cruiser?

Maybe I'd be better off to look in New Zealand, exchange rate here kicks ass right now.

Subscribed!!! :)

Dave, I also agree that the mag you guys put out is top notch. I wish the older issues were still available in print. Missed the boat there.

Was the whole transaction relatively easy? How will it be on this end? Paperwork and such? Or does the Melbourne company take care of all that?

Dave, not nuts, rather a Cruiser Addict! The 47 Troopie is next on my list! Always wanted one, but they were never sold in SA. :frown: Need to import from Aussie, same as with my 40!

BTW, I am a subscriber to your magazine for over two years now. Great Mag!

Thanks for the kind words, Alex!:D

Thanks also Kelly! For the back issues, check this link (looks like home page but is the back issues page) The official site of 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine
which has full info, just include a note with which issues you want. Thank you!

Oh Lord, if I didn't have a great exporter with Blue Freight, the New Zealand rate is unreal!! Get a Kiwi one for sure! Mine was $3500 and 3800 per Cruiser, I am actually waiting on the final shipping invoice...

Hi alkarich,

It was quite easy. I bought both trucks FROM the US! (Skype rules for that). Richard at Blue Freight was a true champ. Handled everything. The holding depot took on a full float FJ40 axle, a 5-speed tranny, and some cool PS bits as well, no problem. Melbourne Freight Forwarder - Bluefreight Australian. Import, Export - vehicles, project logistics. Tell 'em Dave at 4WD Toyota Owner sent ya for sure.

Then stateside I am using Norman G. Jensen, Inc. - Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarder, Customs Brokerage. Ask for Tom White.

Thank you Adolf. SA is next on my travel list. Can I buy you a beverage when I arrive?!

Dave, for sure, pop in! You're welcome! :) Send me a Message if the time is near.

Oh, and I prefer beer! :D ;)

So awsome Dave, congrats on all accounts! You are buying up Cruisers up like like there not making them anymore? Well? Anyway, cant wait to see the current projects as well as the future projects- keep the best mag in the industry going strong man...kudos! Aaron

Any updates on this? I'm interested in buying a troopie and if it was as easy as you say it is, perhaps I'll buy one from NZ instead of stateside.
