eBay Motors: Toyota : Land Cruiser (item 120312219971 end time Oct-07-08 19:16:53 PDT)

Does this one belong to one of the members here? I never knew they came with a 4 cylinder diesel.... very nice rig !

That seems like a great deal for the condition it's in. Wouldn't want to put anything in the back weighing more than 5 lbs with a 3B under the hood though.

Says 4 cyl in the listing. Definitely not the original engine. South American's do crazy stuff with their cars to keep them running. Prolly found a 3B that was in good shape and stuck it in.

Seller must be a bit confused. states a 4 cyl but that is definitely an H

first they came with a 6 cylinder (1969-1980)
HJ45 / HJ45 Pick Up: Diesel (6R) /3.576 ccm3
90 PS / 66 kW / 3600 U/min
This engine is rare.

1981: 4 cylinder
BJ45 / BJ45 Pick Up: Diesel (4R) / 3.431 cm3
90 PS / 66 kW / 3500 U/min

Cheers

I agree... if you look at the exhaust manifold... the 1st runner of the exhaust is at the front of the engine so moving back to the 4th exhaust runner which seems to be right under the air filter arm... which in it self looks to be about 3/4 the length of the engine. There is still more valve cover behind behind the 4th exhaust runner so i'm gonna say its a 6 cylinder.:clap:

Then again..i could just be drunk...again

It's definitely an H diesel. I spoke with the seller a few weeks ago when it was on ebay then. It was located in Steamboat Springs, CO. It was only on ebay for a few days when the current owner bought it and ended the auction. The current owner is re-listing it as he does not fit into it very well. If you are much over 6' tall, the 45 pickups are a tight squeeze.

It's a nice truck for sure. I hope the current seller can recover his money out of it, as I think he paid a bit for it.

I think we should have a little poll to see who can get closest to the final price...weather it sells or not.

I'm guessing $12,500
Aint' going to sell for that price. Current seller just bought it for $15K so I'm guessing that is what he wants out of it....maybe more, don't know.

I bet it hits $14K.

I'll take the "over $15k" square in this pool.

DAM, I should have set a reserve! Someone is about to get a insane deal on this truck! I am sure I could not have chose a worst time to put it on e-bay with the economy. Someone is going to be happy. If I wanted to sit on it I am sure it would bring 25k+ after everything calms down. Everyone has all this doom and gloom on their minds now. O'well:cheers:

Motoloco,

$16,500 seems fair to me. Sure, you might have made more some other time, but at least you didn't loose anything on it. Where will she be living?

Cheers,

Josh
