Getting ready for a Saturday trip and headed out today to track a section that will be added to the route.

Mine isn't equipped with VSC or Atrac.

That's really crazy. With all the safety madness going on with Toyota, I would have thought those safety systems were standard.

His probably doesn't have the curtain airbags either. Those things are only available on the very top spec. It's nuts.

For the 76 series I am considering, base model only has driver side airbag. To get passenger airbag and ABS I have to special order.

For all their talk about safety, Toyota doesn't add "safety extras" for free in parts of the world where those "extras" are not mandated by law. I don't know for certain, but I suspect other manufacturers are the same.

Actually mine has the curtain airbags and the side ones in the seat but not the knee airbags.
I read somewhere curtain airbags were standard even on the base g9 version probably because it's targeted towards the Australian market.

Here in Saudi, on the 200, you only get the side airbags in the VXR 2 Wi-Fi spec, which for reference cost $79500 as opposed to the more typical specs which range from $46400 to $59000. So you have to pay approximately $20k us more if you want a spec with side airbags.

I've both sizes of tires. Big one is for summer which is ProComp Xtreme. Standard one is winter tire which is Bridgestone blizzak DM-V1. No problem at all. Anyway I like big tires.

Desert season is starting.

Had the first rainfall in 2 years on Friday,

Turned the lc into a tent yet again

Started digging and managed to move it out a few inches then a storm decides to hit us, in less than a minute got completely dark heavy rain and strong winds, settled down after 45 mins got some help from some guys on a sand rail and atv but after a few hours had to get a 4x4 to pull it out.
