HAHA.. No, it's been serviced at a place called Clegg's Auto Care. The guy there says that a lot of LCs have the same problem.

'97 - 115,000
All original OEM parts. In nine years on the road, she has only gotten oil/filter changes, new shoes, replaced suspension w/ OME 2.5" Heavy, and replaced OEM front bumper w/ Slee's single-hoop.

'93 285,000. Doing the radiator in the next week and other than that just pm.
'97 LX450 250,000. Upper oil pan gasket at 165,000.
Both have had starters and I think alternators, but, it's been so many miles ago I don't remember. Front axle rebuilds on both and the 80 needs it again. Lots of brake jobs on both though.

I just switched over from a 76 FJ40 to a 93 FZJ 80 with 190000 on it & have been planning on maintaining a log like yours.

I haven't had any regrets about swapping my 40 yet!

181k - put a new battery in yesterday... other than that.. no head gasket yet.. and all minor replacements.
I keep seeing lots of posts regarding head gaskets. Is this a common problem or does anyone have an estimate on the percentage of vehicles this affects?

clock says 202k but i'm not sure when the po put the 36's on it so i'm guessing it really has on the up side of 220k.... new radiator.... and the po did rebuild the head (not sure why though)
on a side note my two friends beat me in the mileage department.... one is a 92 taurus with 270k.... no major work done so far just water pump, alt and radiator. and my other friends dad still has his original volvo...it was the first car he bought brand new.... has something like 340k on it right now.

91 with 237k. new radiator and water pump @ 185k. new o2 sensors and bypassed the egr system a couple wks ago. runs like a champ. bought her 3.5 yrs ago and have only spent a total of $800-900 in repairs. ($450 of that was the damn radiator)....
Dad's 97' with 170k Just battery, O2 sensor, plug wires and PM stuff. No Head Gasket issues.
