High EGT values

I’m driving from Virginia and now in Colorado. EGT readings are higher all the time, now maxing at 700C. Altitude sickness?

The mechanical diesels will run rich at altitudes higher than they have been tuned to. I've heard of high-altitude compensators which I think act like boost compensators but I'm not totally sure.

On previous trips I turned the fuel down or understood that my performance was limited.

700C is fine. Yes altitude makes them run hotter and delays boost.
