There are definitely squirrel finders that show up with the new ballasts and lamps, you can block them off with tape but I think you would need to remove the entire assembly to do it right.
It doesn't bother me, because I'm just happy to have some good headlights.

Thanks. While waiting for the Morimoto Mini H1 9.0, I've been running a set of Sealight LEDs with my new OEM housings - brighter but still horrible with dark spots and unclear cutoff. I hope the Morimoto mod will cure this OEM daemon!

What housing cap should you use. TRS recently changed the H1 bulb and it now has the grommet and wires attached to the bulb. I have not worked with the factory cap since starting this project and no longer have one to try but I found a great cap that works and provides clearance for the bulb and wire

@Luke111 Thanks for excellent guide. I'm preparing to tackle this and acquiring all the needed parts and pieces. For this item, the Amazon link has several different sizes, is the 76-100mm the correct size cap? Thank you.
