Hi everyone

I first came here about a year and a half ago when I bought my '85 FJ60. I was really excited about getting started to work on it and began posting questions but soon had two major additions to my life - my daughter and grad school.

Well, I've been having a great time with the truck since then and haven't really done anything, but the list of things to do has grown and grown.

I check here most every day and am continually inspired and a bit envious of the progress people make with their trucks.

I'm still not ready to begin work (money and time are still being utilized elsewhere), but I thought I would post to thank everyone for all the good ideas a year ago and for the help I know I'll need when I start working.

I've also thought I should post to find out who the people are I see every day - right around the corner from my house lives a fairly well built 80 series, white with black wheels - we sometimes pass each others house - and there's a beautiful tan 60 that used to park at the corner of Red Bridge and Grandview road. I just saw it in my rearview window a few days ago and tried to wave but the light turned green and I had to get on with things.

So anyway, here's my truck and one of the many things I have to work on to get it on the road for real.

nice clean rig you have there. Welcome, and good luck with your projects!

Welcome. Rig looks good. I would really get that shock cross member fixed.

Thanks for the compliments - I guess pictures can make anything look good.

I've got serious rocker panel rust and the drivers side quarter panel is rust filled too, and that shock mount is the first of many jobs that will get done as soon as I get a chance (and a welder/grinder or person who can do it for next to nothing).
