Hi all. I’m new here and recently imported a gcc spec 100 series. It’s a 2001 GX trim with center locking differentials. I tried to activate it to make sure it works. Nothing lights up on the dash.

I had a chance to get under the vehicle and noticed the connectors all unplugged, really odd right? Anyone familiar with gulf behavior and why this would be unplugged?

Anyways, I’m looking for some guidance on reconnecting this and if it still doesn’t work, what should be my next step?

I’ve attached pictures showing the wiring.

Thank you in advance

The center diff lock switch is located above the front drive shaft portion of the transfer case.
At least on my 99 LC it is.
Just changed the switch this weekend.

Thank you for the quick response. What do you think these connectors are for? I haven’t been able to find a diagram.

The large connector on LH rear lower of rear output housing is the speed sensor.

There are 3 more sensors/switches in the tcase:

- The "Center differential lock" sensor on the front housing that let you know which the front fork in the housing is engaged.

- The neutral switch that tells you when the tcase is shifted into neutral

- a low range switch that, you guessed it, tells you when you are in low.

The final electrical connector plugs into the CDL actuator motor.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. The speedometer works normal, when I press the center lock button, no light comes on. This is a 5 speed manual btw. Theres power in these connectors, any idea on what to trouble shoot?

You said they are not plugged into the switches, right? Ideally they should all be plugged in.

The CDL will not work right if the forward-most switch (CDL indicator switch) is not plugged in.

Thank you! I will give it a shot and report back.
