Hole in the Rock will sure be easier in that than the 80.

You can do the entire trail in a day.

:)

Sorry to hear John it didn't work out. I told you not to listen to Ash. Just sayin'.

LOL, I was the one who chose to do it, I take the responsibility of that choice and it's outcome... and it should work on paper, that poor stupid ECU was the weak link. It's logic of how to deal with hauling an 80 load at elevation wasn't sustainable, (and un hackable). I think the sweetspot if you don't want an 80 turtle would be the oem TRD supercharger... OR just take an 80 for what it is. I loved that truck, it took me to amazing places with good people, i'll always remember it fondly. I might build another one someday.

Buy a 100-series and have Slee put a solid axle under the front of it.

interesting idea... not pocketbook friendly, but interesting.

I really like those OE 4R rigs, again, not in my budget range... but i'd love to copy that stealth front recovery setup. meow.

I was trying to talk him into a V8 conversion since he was "already almost there..."

I'm sure it's cheaper than an new 4Runner.

Hmmm? Yes but he wouldn't have to buy another "new 4Runner" ;)...Just a Lexus for his wife to drive while he has his way with the 4Runner:rimshot:

but a "new" 4runner would be cheaper than either in the end...

going to try out "adventure riding" aka "backpacking on a motorcycle" or "gee i wish i was with a herd of 80's to carry my crap"... Pulled the trigger on a buddy of mine's KTM adventure 950 S. It lives in Sacramento and he's going to ride it out here sometime after thanksgiving. Yes, he is tougher than I am. Yeay for toys!
