Hella 4000s in ARB Bull Bar

I've had a pair of the Hella 3000s on the 93 since new, and a pair of 4000s on the 97 since I got it. Both have done some heavy towing and my lights are so close to the grille on both that they actually touch it once in a while. I have not noted any heat issues and have considered adding a third like Dave's setup.

Where can I get a look at ARB's clamp on mounts? I'm planning to put ARBs on both trucks this spring and had planned a weld on mod, but...?

I've got dual PIAA's that size sitting right in the same spot and never experienced any cooling or overheating issues....... Just lucky I guess.

When I first mounted the dual Hella 4000s, they knocked anough air off the condensor that the AC wouldn't chill, even at road speed. At the same time I noticed in heavy traffic that the temp was a little higher than normal.....not good in Texas. So I raised the lights with spacers and moved the Warn control box out of the way and it solved both.

I put the Warn control box back in the way (too much muddy water around here for a low mount) but laid it flat. No problems.

Reading through this thread, I noted the absence of any comment on the possibility of using an auxiliary pusher fan to help resolve any potential heating issue. Particularly in the southern, hotter driving environments.

They extend about 4inches off the bar which to me spaces them out way too far for my eye.

So Live Rust and I went out to the desert last night to break in my new lights and his newly lifted LX450. I did some tweaking to the lights and got them aligned pretty well. I love the center pencil beam. Honestly I was looking for something to make my truck a bit unique but functionally the three lights work well. I was alternating driving with them on/off and found their worth when I flipped them back on only to light up the ass of a black cow in the middle of the road that my HIR lights hadn't picked up yet. At 50mph it's nice to be able to see things like cows with enough warning.

Looks like I need to buy Wild Yoats dinner again. The tabs need a gusset. A little too much vibration for my liking. So after that is squared away I can just enjoy the hell out of them until spring rolls around I can start worrying about airflow.

It was like driving into the sunset all night following dmc. Nice to have him out front clearing the livestock. Looking at the light setup in person I think there should be plenty of air flow around, under and over the lights. It's not like he has a V8 in there

Never got to try it. I would imagine I would have to adjust all my mirrors if he had those on behind me. Bet I would cast a heck of a shadow though.

Yeah, those ARB brackets look a little light in the loafers, also. If those tabs are flexing then surely those sheetmetal brackets would be like wet noodles under a full size lamp. Anyone using them for lights??

I use two to secure my Hi-Lift to my bullbar. Only time they ever moved was when I hit a tree...

I saw some recently on a Tacoma with an ARB and what I think were the LightForce 240's and I thought the same thing, but the owner said he'd never had any problems, and when I applied some pressure on them they seemed pretty stout.
