I took apart the heater motor to clean up and lube. Is there a trick to getting the springs and brushes in place long enough to slip them over armature? I have been fighting them for the past hour with no luck.

thanks

Yes I had it out to lube the bottom bearing. I tried doing it that way for a while and then put it in the housing to try. No luck with either yet.

It was a major PITA but I figured it out and got it back together and Patience was the key

This might be a crap shoot, but when I was in an Ace hardware a couple of yrs ago and noticed they had a selection of brushes in their specialty bolt section. I've also found not all Ace hardwares carry the same products.

I bought some for a skilsaw from the hardware store bin drawers and resized them on my belt sander. That was 20 years ago, so pb4ugo, it isn't a crap shoot, it's a reality. I can't remember the brand of saw etc, but just get them oversized. If no belt sander tape a sheet of 80 grit to a flat surface and rub away. It goes quickly, so test often.
