Nate is not impressed.

The plug I am holding is the vaunted right rear door power window switch. Now the real question, is what powers the left rear door switches? I will look into that this weekend.
So this is the actual connector showing in this picture :

●[yazaki] 090II series 6 pole non-waterproofing M connector [2+4 type] (no terminals)

●[Yazaki] 090 type [Sumitomo TS/ Yazaki 090II] series male terminal non-waterproofing

You will need the counterpart female connector and female terminal to completed your harness

[yazaki] 090II series 6 pole non-waterproofing F connector [2+4 type] (no terminals)

●[Yazaki] 090 type [Sumitomo TS/ Yazaki 090II] series Female terminal non-waterproofing

I am not sure about the other connector needed however in terms of wire you can chose the colors needed appropriately size is .085MM and 1.25MM I like mostly the 1.25MM
AVS or AVSS depending on your preference :)

Wire

EDIT : for the plier I used the Hozan P-706 Crimping Tool (for Open Barrel Contacts),

@mt72 EPIC. Thank you!

Question about the "stand-alone engine harness built by Mick Wallin in Australia" am I correct in that is a complete engine harness that only a couple wires need to be hooked up and that is it? Are you doing this because you did not have the original engine harness?

@Crtroopy correct. Add a factory ECU and spill driver and his harness becomes a 2 wire plug and play. I suppose you could source a RHD 79 harness from Australia and make one work in a LHD vehicle, but this is the best option for me.

@bottombracket we need some updates!! :)

Did you get your stand-alone engine harness from Mick yet? If so, are you happy with everything?

@shellb i’ve had the harness, the motor and everything for over two years. The project has been at a standstill because of what seems like a never-ending divorce. Expect some things to start happening here in 2025!

Appreciate the update...I can totally sympathize with the divorce comment...I lost years of my life doing the same thing.

Trust that everything will be good in the end and look forward to more updates.

I'm embarking down a similar path!

Same for me. It gets WAY better. Glad it is for you too Galen

Look what you can buy from Toyota USA: new style 7x series brake pedal assembly. Shiiiiny.

Just read through this thread. I can't wait to see the end result.

Since Austin was the closest to the port of Galveston, and I have a little bit of room at my place, we parked a 40 foot container full of magic, and Frank came down to open it up Thursday night. @Fern1109 coordinated the delivery and made sure that an 18 wheeler got in and out of the ranch safely. Lola and Murphy approved.

@Spallet loaned me his (Toyota diesel) forklift and Tetris forklift wizarded my cab and bed out without a scratch. View attachment 3141121View attachment 3141122View attachment 3141124View attachment 3141125

Happiness is about managing expectations. I am absolutely elated. Frank did such an amazing job with this.
Amazing that this container is now at my place. 79 Double Cab work finally started today!!
