Day to day driving, I'd get a MWB 73 or 74 series anyday. They have a good turning circle for a 4x4, are short(er), easy (REALLY) to park, drive over gutters if you need to and have EXCELLENT vision. The Diesel version is very good, but as always, they benefit enormously from a turbo. I don't know if you guys got the RV versions over there, but they're the pick of the bunch.
I drive a HZJ75RP ute every single day now and to be honest on the stock suspension, the ride is comparable to a 100 series. I don't feel a damned thing. Mind you the 75's are LWB.
I've driven 60 series before and I found them hard to see out of, loud, uncouth and generally hard to turn. God forbid you have any tight parking lots, you need a small airfield to turn one of those things around.
