so i finally(with centainty) isolated the fuel problems to the fuel tank.
i'll blow the line back to the tank with compressed air and drain the tank.

any other suggestions.

oh ya, i can't get fuel from the tank to the carb on my '78 pig. new fuel pump, filter, bla, bla...

:banana::wrench::flamingo::cheers:

So I know this most likely doesn't need to be stated, but when you blow the lines out, keep it at low pressure.

Don't ask me about a gasoline shower I caused when doing the very same thing...

I will say this, it took absolutely FOREVER to get the fuel back up to the carb after blowing the line, replacing the filter and the pump. Maybe you could try raising the rear end up and let the fuel line gravity prime itself and see if that helps.

did you disconnect the lines at the tank? run a stiff wire down both lines, one will be short and easy, that's the return.
the other will be longer I had a blockage in the feed line on 2 different rigs after they sat for a few years before I bought them.

i discovered a plugged fuel line between the tank and the pump. definately s&it in the tank.
and there seem to be about two dozen fasteners holding the tank, i know the best idea to be to drop it and/or flush it. blow out the fuel lines.
anybody know a good treatment for a grimey fuel tank?

My tank had issues.

Even after hot-tanking, we had to hook up an old speedo cable to a drill and roto-rooter the line.

You *might* try that with the tank in place... Pull the drain plug, rooter it out, chase with brake clean.

If you do not pull the tank, I would definitely run one of those clear filters right out of the tank, before the hard line...
