Yesterday my lab ran into the house after a day out playing and ran full speed into the house and hills a bowl of water and then walks 5' and hurls up a nice soup of dog food wafers and water. Odd as she had not eaten for hours.

Then an hour ago she want whining at her food storage container I let her eat while I was out here working.

She started whining at the door to be let in.

I just walked in the house to two nice piles and empty water bowl, woman says I think she has the Flu.

I guess it's possible but I have never seen it.

Thoughts?

dogs dont get the "flu" my dog has an upset stomach from time to time... cut off food for 24 hours usually does the trick

also not good to let them hit the water bowl after heavy exercise. might wanna wait til they stop panting/ pulse comes back to normal.

dog food can stay undigested in stomach for 4+ hours.

edit: appears to be undigested after being chucked up 4+ hours after consumption.

with her apparent GI distress, I'd also recommend withholding food for 24 hours, then start back w/bland eggs n rice meal.

One thing I've found with Labs, they eat junk. Every kind of junk, vomit comes with the breed.

Hope your dog gets better. They usually do, unless they don't.

My dog craps Bionicles and Lego Star Wars figures. Wookie-in-a-dookie.

Wait till you have to pull a balloon out its ass...

That balloon better not be mylar or have a kid in it.

Weirdest s*** in dog s***: tampon & string.

There is a Canine Influenza and a vaccine for such. IIRC, it started as an Equine Flu and was somehow transmitted to dawgs. Around here the vaccination is $15-$22......cheap for a buddy. JMO
BTW, it is HIGHLY contagious:eek:

My 12month old Red heeler is eating his own s***,we were trying to whine him off breakfast, any tips? I think he'll grow out of it but man his breath is bad.

they make tablets for this to make it non palatable.

Is he an outdoor dog?

I have a 8 yr old Red heeler, this smart bitch moves the chair to get to the cats food on a table. She looks like a Koala walking away from you......

I have an appointment for her. Just worried as three ACL surgeries this year I don't want a simple Flu to knock her down.

yeah he's an outdoor dog, thanks i'll pop into the vets tomorrow.
