Meaning something to store it and roll it around on. I have one stand and two engines, and I'm looking for something better than a pallet-and-tire or a cut-off shopping cart. Photos/plans welcome. Thanks for any help!

Pepperidge Farms bread trolly and 4x4 lumber. No plans necessary
I build one recently thinking that the engine will be stored for a long time, but it sold withis 2 days. The cradle was built out of 2x12 lumber. Pan or crank sensor not toucking anything .

I use a $20 furniture dolly and a 6x6 up front under the oil pan. Ratchet strap it down! done and done.

Yup. Have done similar in the past.
Go big with the dolly size for stability, and weight rating.
The upper oil pan is pretty flat on the underside, so it's easy to chock them up.
I put mine on an engine stand that we use for BB Chevs, Olds and Ponitacs. It will move a long block around but there is no way I am hanging all the manifolds on both sides and going to trust it without lengthening the stand. We had to weld the brace above the gusset at the bottom of this stand decades ago to support 455 Pontiacs. The length of our blocks places a lot of weight over the front wheels on this stand.

I hate the wheels on those things, be afraid I'd tip the engine moving it.
