Question: How'd you get the lower lip on the outer skin at the bottom... especially around the curved areas?? ... and yeah, I'm replacing that section too.

Those doors are nice to. I like those for the simplicity of them.

Thanks. Simple and light was the goal. The bolt on skin is easily replaced if dented. Not that I would ever let that happen

Thread resurrection! I wonder how much someone would pay to have their doors cut into half doors the way croozy has done his. For someone that knows how to fabricate, I wouldn't think it would be difficult and I know I would pay a decent price to have mine cut!

I paid $300 to have a set cut and welded up. The metal is very thin, so it takes some skill to do it right and not distort the metal.

If you could have it done for $300, you'd be time and money ahead. It takes a lot of work.

If someone offers you $300 to do it, tell them, "no".

Has anyone ever modded later thick doors to work on an earlier tub without changing the strikers? I started a pair of thick 1/2 doors a friend gave me a while back. They also hit on the front hoop of my cage. I can clearance that.

I have a March 71 FJ40. The previous owner made the decent doors into half doors.(!!!) I need full doors since the halves aren't legal on the road here. I'd gladly swap, or partial swap for some decent condition full doors.

I'm a hack welder trying to get better every day ... 2 flat bar over the top. I don't have to worry about windows or any other hardware ...

... happy with the turnout ... they've since been painted to almost match haha ...
