FYI: Below is a picture of the antenna mount for my Toyota Truck. The mount is the Larsen TMB34. I am planning to buy the same mount and modify it a bit to mount to the FJ40 hood. Around town I connect the Larsen NMOQW; as it is 21 inches in length and makes it easy going in and out of garages etc. When leaving the city I connect the Larsen NMO150. The antenna flexes well and the mount does not bend. It has been over ten years since I first installed the mount.

I have a very heavy duty NMO mag mount one of you can borrow. I think Jon's SBB-1 is not NMO though. I also have an extra SBB-5 (NMO) that you guys can borrow.

Thanks Mike. I might take you up on that. My rig is complete with SBB-1. Was thinking about something with a little more gain, but might wait till later. Rudy gets first choice to get him up and running.
