It was! Since he passed and it was a few years since his ham license expired, I found it was not claimed by anyone else, so....they have a provision you can request a specific call sign.

I still remember as a kid in the 70s and 80s him talking around the world on his home base station. He also hooked up a mobil ham unit in our blazer and he had a mobil phone patch we would sit on the mollogon rim and call home to Ma via the ham in the truck. Being well before mobile phones, I thought that was some pretty cool Technology!

Hi, Hope everyone is great. Cleo and I wanted to update our new call signs from Northern California.

We both recieved our technician licenses last week, long time since we planned too but we finally did it. Lol

Now we need to practice with the radios. We need to figure out the repeaters and set something up. @LongDuck @Saddletramp @LandCruiserPhil @Abigail @Dimples @Highway Romping @murf

3 year to the day post . It is nice to see many more CSC ham license holders since then
