Yeah, I know.......I think those 45 guys are onto me. I was told quite plainly to keep my grubby hands off of their parts

I wanted to ask you, where is the 1 1/4 inch plywood coming from.

It's going to be 1 1/8" marine grade. I have a local lumber company that can get almost any kind of wood for me-I mean, they can get any kind of lumber for me. fixed

Oh man, that bed is looking good! I vote Alum. diamond plate, for the skin on top.

on the fence for the bed skin material...the ply has its drawbacks(mostly trim-wise and having to do 2 pieces)thinking I'm gunna do the 10 gauge 72X96 sheet for 200 bucks and a whopping 270 pounds. Bob, what do you think of 12 gauge- only to save a bit of weight. I am at 15.5" centers...The bed is 70" wide and 78" long- big enough to camp on. Planning on a 1 1/4" schedule 40 hoop and rack, maybe a stake pockets/tiedown rail, and some boxes.

getting this far into the project- well any project, for that matter-I see the things that I would do differently if I were to do it again(NO PLANS TO DO SO!!!my whole me hurts{**** I needs a plasma})and of course, there are engineered imperfections when it comes to presentation. I am 100% satisfied with the structure and hope that I've removed enough rust and built it back in a way that it will last the long haul.

Don't look back and worry about what you should of done. You have enough to think about! That floor pan looks plenty strong, outlasting all of us.

LAMBCRUSHER, 13 gage (.089) would be more than enough.

How many pounds of wire you gonna have on that fine swine? Good job on the sheetmetal work on the cab Maybe I missed it but what rear window is the cut out sized for? It'd be fairly simple if you wanted to add a cage down the road since you already have that square tube near the rear of the roof.
