WOOHOO! it sounds amazing. it is LOUD-as it was before, but even in the driveway, she seems to have better response and a much much better tone at RPM. Sounds like a tractor at idle tho. can't hear anything in the engine compartment other than the noisey valvetrain and the air from the fan- can't feel any leaks but maybe a tiny bit at the poorly plugged EGR fitting- I just used a quarter for now. gotta fab hangers and take her on a spin... will report

Nice. I'm gunna throw some more torque on the quarter and see how it holds up for now;)

hanger is in- I used one hanger with two brackets(hooks with bolt holes...) that bolt to either side of the hanger, then bolted the hanger to the body center over the pipes, let the brackets hang loose so they would touch the pipes, and burned em to the pipes...no more pics today:flipoff2:....gunna do a bushed side support rod top the hanger bar and then we should be good. it sounds like a HUI, but thats only cause there not but 6 foot of straight pipe per run. Boys, it's a beast, a right BORE. O my. I think that with the extra diameter of the exhaust valve and the extry duration fer the exhaust valve due to the CAM, that the thing doesn't really light off till about 3:hhmm: it's got turbo lag:lol:

testing...1...2...3...is this thing on(please do not respond, message for testing purposes only, do not adjust your set...)

THAR we are

you may now adjust your set if need be, please continue to tune in to KPIG and thank you for your support

What other coating options would be considered for? Hi temp paint? PC?

Is ceramic out of the question since a pot metal part that couldn't take the additional heat that ceramic may cause?

Those are cast iron, the only thing that would hold up is ceramic ;-). I've used both hi-temp paint and that POR-15 header paint, both will burn off in time :-(. Interested to see how the curing holds up -

Wonder if they'd be more prone to deforming if the ceramic does what should in keeping the heat in the coated part?

Would it be wrong to oil up the manifolds with bacon? Haha.

you're a picture reader, aren't you:flipoff2: That's exactly what the point was, only I got my hands slapped for trying to use the bacon grease:meh: like it's a food item or something. yeah, cured like cast iron cookware. your choice of oil...bake at 350 till they stop smokin...

Let me know next time you're going to be in Fresno...I didn't end up using those headers;) Thank You for bringing them up tho.
