H55F stuck in first gear

Hi H55F gurus!

My gearbox is stuck in first gear. I have pulled the top off but can't budge the selectors.
The weird thing is that when you accelerate up an incline it jams in first and it comes free sometimes on the level or when the truck is pointing down an incline.

Any bright ideas?

A bit rude of me but let me say hi.
I am from NZ and the H55F is the gear train in my Land rover series IIA

which is powered by a Nissan diesel 3l, but I am sure you guys won't hold that against me... Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,
Not that I am aware of, I am restoring the machine and the drivetrain when purchased ran okay. The motor and gear box have been pulled out and reinstated but the motor and geartrain were not separated.

Thanks Output Shaft. I found this thread but did not help. I am actually thinking the gearbox is not an H55f, it is a 5 speed tho.
Does this look familiar to anyone?

The selector forks and rods are within the gearbox and not attached to the top plate as with the h55f. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
