Lastly remember that mine is a 3FE and thats what made it easy to do the swap. The 3fe has the same bellhousing pattern as the 1F and 2F so it can use the same bellhousing and transmissions as the older series cruisers. I was without a welder of my own for 95% of this swap and could have gotten away without one if would have bugged my friends more and been wiling to order pre-built parts. I can not convey how easy this swap is to do and I would have done it even without the toybox just so I could get that extra grunt out of my 3FE that the auto tranny takes away. I no longer slow down going up big hills, I just power on up them.

Not yet but I will get some and add them in after it stops raining/snowing.

I also want to add the word document I originally wrote all of this up in to make it less confusing to follow and easier to print out and read/edit but its way too big, but if anyone wants it let me know and I will email it.

Very cool. I have done an auto to manual tranny swap on a 4runner in order to accommodate the Marlin 4.7 box, so I guess this wouldn't be too much more difficult. Just alot more expensive. :frown: I may have to settle for the Marlin 3.1's, which are still really cool, as I have sampled them in Delancy's rig. Great write up, congrats on completing this setup.

Took some pictures of the finished interior today after I had sound proofed and carpeted it.

The carpet came from home depot and cost about $15 for a 12'x3' piece. It doesn't match perfect but its pretty close, and since I only needed about 2'x3' I have a lot left over.

Top piece is the factory stuff bottom is home depot
