in other news, I'm planning camping trips for this summer. NW Overland Expo is one I'm definitely going to, but I just moved up here in March so gonna have to go explore this summer.

Hoping for a welder and/or garage air compressor for christmas... I plan on making a shelf/sleeping platform for the wife and I and the dog. Probably going to sell my RTT... as I had it on a Tacoma, and it was great... until we got a dog... and that dog became 110lbs and must sleep with us . no way I"m putting it up on the GX... and I kinda like not having to "set up" as much.

285/75r17 is the perfect size tire for these!

I like those a lot and strongly considered them... but ultimately decided to go with a tire I knew already. but these measure out to 34/11/17... gotta have something to grow into! LOL

absolutely. I hate ordering things on back order, especially after places like pilfreybuilt that just folded over night with no warning.... but my CC insured these purchases, and I've got time before I can get the lift installed anyways. saved about $400 on a set of 5 (200 up front, 200 on a gift card coming as a rebate)...

If I ever lock it and regear I will go 35’s but as a daily without regearing 34’s is as big as I want to go.

Don't let that stop you. If you clearance for the tires at stock height they won't rub when you lift it. You'll have to trim the same amount when you install the lift.

No need to get an alignment when you cut, grind, weld and hammer. You won’t be messing with any of the suspension parts.

I mean I need an alignment already, but since I was replacing the tires, I'm just letting it go.

It did.... Problem is that the only parts listed are for FJ40s and 80s... Need a specific 120 parts section for it to be of any use. Guess the mods didn't agree.
