Thanks to the mud community, I was able to figure out what screws we're needed to make this as secure in the GX as it is in the 100 series. The screws are now included with every media mount.

Here are some shots of the mount in action in the GX.

What's the spec on the screws?

They're M2.5x0.45mm 10mm in length. PM me your address and I can send you some.

@Ramathorn15 do we need to provide any special instructions when ordering for the GX to insure the correct hardware is included? Thanks.

Nope! The screws are relatively inexpensive so I've decided just to include them with every mount whether GX or not.

For the non-nav, is the tape deck mounted differently and just needs different shaped bracket? Just wondering why this won't work?

Check out Expedition essentials. They have a nice mounting system

Thanks Dan. They don't have this specific one I'm looking for. Those rods and mount in the photo above will work perfect for what I'm looking for

Thanks man ... Haha .. I kept searching for GLAB
Did you ever find the exact setup from the photo above? Are just the mounts themselves GUB but the rods are different? Or is it all GUB. I have the Owl mount and the ram ball already, just looking to piece together the rest of it. Any links you can share would be appreciated!

I didn’t find anything. Got CarPlay now so I just put my phone in the ashtray

I can vouch for the Expedition Essentials GXPAM. Looks to be sold out. Careful, you may crack your dash due to drilling; I did.

So. Many. Ram. Mounts.

When I saw this I bought it for my non nav dash and went for it because I thought it was such a good idea. It’s a lot of work but it fits.

Nice, thanks for being the first. Any details, like tricks or things to look out for to take it apart?

its definitely not as straight forward as the nav unit. you basically have to disassemble the whole rear of the radio. Its pretty easy to see how when the radio and climate is out. its a process for sure but you only have to do it once and its worth it in my opinion. its the best mounting option available by far. I wish i would have taken pictures of the process.
