My favorite style Ford by far, and sad to see yours meeting an early end :(. My stepbrother had a stripper F150 RCSB (300-6 and a 5-speed) that was going strong at ~300K when he sold it. Every bit as reliable as a Land Cruiser, but more fuel efficient with cheaper parts :). One summer job company truck I had 20+ years ago was a 1997 F250 RCLB 4x4 with a 460/auto. I used it to pull a Kubota compact utility tractor around to mow conservation areas. Not a "fast" truck by any means, but you barely noticed the tractor back there.

@r2m, was yours a 7.3 Powerstroke or a 460? Both are great engines.

It was a rebuilt 460 gasser.

had 2 6 packs i was vehicle control officer for in the airforce along with a F700.

Pre superduty 4 door long bed eith a windsor was gutless.

Then a superduty 4 door long bed with a 5.3 or 5.4 and it had a lot better power.

Older truck was ok. Newer truck was driven into the ground. Drove it in the snow when it was less than 2 years old and the abs was broken. 🙃

ARB brushless twin is in. It uses delph aptiv multipak 630 connectors.

wired it into my fog lights for now. I will have to find a better solution long term. When I wire a mobile radio I will run a wire into the cabin for a compressor switch.

Some Yosemite action I see!
Yeah, wasn't on the bingo card originally, but my wife wanted to do it again, and we had some days to kill because I deleted Anza in order to make it to Alabama Hills to secure a campsite before the weekend. Yosemite slotted in nicely between Sequoia / KC and heading up to our old home in Eureka.

Super cool place. Filled me with "want".
Stayed about a 30 minute walk from there earlier this year for a conference. The only free time I had, it was closed! Will save it for the next trip to SLC.

Wild, I was just in SLC as the final stop of our Utah trip and all we did was go to a fantastic Italian restaurant (Matteo's). Gotta go there next time we're in Utah, which will hopefully be soon.

Great pics! Granted I could have gone when I was in SLC, but the one free day we had we decided to go skiing instead :).

going to the museum (this side of the scale), that's a tough one! I'd love to do both!
