100%. Though, in the summer I could see myself daily driving some sort of Japanese 2 door something. I'm getting that itch for a late 90's or early 00's Japanese kei car of a particular type which shall remain nameless. 😃 I WANT an S2000 but **** me those are so expensive now. I missed the boat on those. Also, finding an unmodified example of a 1997 Prelude SH like the one I had is also going to be impossible unless I import one.
For tail draggers the 9th gen civic SI and accord both got the K24.

I was looking at BRZs, too.

But as someone who already has PTSD, I am super uncomfortable being on those roads again in anything without gravitas.

Waiting on final confirmation but it looks like my heads and block are OK.

I think the H motors are great just require more specialty maintenance for a lower power output.

I had a A20A3 in my 86 accord and a F22 in my 95 accord.

Those pop up headlights were so cool on the 3rd gen accord

The r18 is a decent engine

Fingers crossed these guys are doing you right. I know how frustrating it is having a downed rig and it is worse when someone else is wrenching on it.
I received good news Thursday heads snd block are within spec. Should finish off the 18 months where is the coolant going game.

Making progress! I have to take everything apart, sand, seal coat, paint, and put back together.

Still loving my Dobinsons rear coils. They ride and flex much better than the Ironman junk coils they replaced. Aussie vs. Chinese materials and manufacturing most likely.

I specifically looked for a base to avoid that
Eh, if one’s lifting anyway, it’s only an additional coil conversion kit and the bags don’t fail catastrophically.

I like the semi-aniline leather and the ML audio sounds good (to me), among the other small niceties. Cost was very comparable to the Premium trim, not sure about base.

When I bought they were all the same price.

Base model Lexus is still pretty swank.

While I am never the most capable vehicle I aklm usually the most comfortable vehicle on the trail

Agree, even the Base model is nice, especially compared to the typical trail rig.

My main wheeling buddy has a JK. It's funny how drastically faster my IFS GX is on the highway, gravel roads, and easy/moderate trails. I usually have to stop and wait for him as he can't keep up on terrain like that. Last time we had a trip I also had a fun AWD-rally driving my GX down some gravel roads after we got off the trail. Oh, of course there is the V8 power, leather, premium sound system, oodles of sound deadening too :).

Where he does excel is on trails that require a lot of side-to-side articulation (i.e., moguls, deep ruts). And, in really tight stuff, he can snake though a lot faster without worrying about knocking a body panel onto a tree/rock (beauty of the narrow Jeep body and easily-replaceable fenders).

With KDSS i keep the Rubicons honest.
