I'm off all this week but I'm having my doubts on going now. Last time I towed the troopie, I would get the wagging effect by the uhaul car hauler. This occurred right at the 54 mph mark. It got worse every mph beyond that. I have a 2002 Sequoia. It would be a loooong ride there and back. Just a little leary having two young children in tow. It'll be a last-second decision.

Just drive the Troopie there :-)

HA. That'd be pushing it, especially getting into mountains.

We will see.... I'll tow it if I come.

always open seats. Not what you'd want but better than not going at all.

Drive to ATL Wed. and then caravan with us the rest of the way on Thursday, Ted's truck won't go over 55 either :flip:

On another note, my truck is all put back together now...

cruised up 400 at 67, 62/63 is better though. Seems to do better pointed straight on the highways than on the surface streets

We rent Tundras and Sequoias here that have tow package. Problem solved. :D

Your Sequoia should be fine, the problem is not enough tongue weight on the trailer. Pull the troopie further up on the trailer and your problem should be gone.

Yeah. John and I discussed this at Durhamtown. If memory serves, I had my truck as far up as possible.

If the U-Haul car hauler is anything like the one we used for Ted's truck, then there is only one way you can strap the truck down at it was all the way at the front of the trailer.

Yup... I was all the way up.

280+ miles one way at 50-55 equals six lovely hours to and from.

I thought about a uhaul dolly but that would be a pretty darn big truck on a dolly. any experience out there, suggestions?

Aaaahhhhh - beer thirty from here on out. See you guys when you get here. :)

What's the issue? Trailer or truck that you're hauling it with? I wouldn't use a dolly. Also, you don't want to have it all the way forward. You want the weight to be slightly biased towards the front of the trailer axles so that it pre-loads the suspension some. If it's too far back or too far forward it can cause the same issue.

The pavilion is officially occupied.
