Time to send in your GSMTR registrations. We currently have only 43 registrations and if we don't get a lot more this will be the last GSMTR,:frown: we need at least 100 to make a profit and remember the profits go to helping keep Tellico open. So if you have not attended you need to register this year so you don't miss the experience.

Just updated my TLCA membership so I could get this app in - thanks for mailing me the app (yeah I know last month, but I will follow up). While I will be camping across the State line as per usual, I am making ends meet and registering to make this trip just to support Tellico efforts. Hope another 56 do the same :D.

Thanks as always for all your efforts at keeping Tellico open.

I wish I could make it this year...this will be the first year I have missed since about 96.

This will be my 2nd GSMTR, I sure hope it won't be the last one...
I can't wait to be there!

Thanks Roger

I know things aren't looking that good so far, but I'm gonna do my best to get the word out. To that end I need some help. If anyone is active on TTORA, FJ Cruiser forums or other busy toyota forums, PLEASE PM me. I'd like to get some discussions going there to stir the pot. Also, if members of CLC or other southern clubs see this, please add a link to this thread in your clubhouses and lets see if we can rally support to save Tellico.

We're fighting an uphill battle this year since Diesel is $4 a gallon, the economy is turning south, and a couple of trails are closed. The stars are beginning to align for a poor turnout, and honestly this ain't the year for it. Sure, Lower 2 and Slickrock are closed, but that's only a few miles of trails, there's a whole helluva lot left to wheel. We need to show the USFS that we're serious, and bring out the big guns and prove that we'll ahow up and fight for what we believe is right. The Anti-Access groups are hoping that with the temporary closure order , the demand will drop and the USFS will cave. We desperately need to prove them wrong by showing up en mass...

Hell, even if your rig is laying in pieces on the garage floor, c'mon up! (Yes you Hugh) The friends you'll meet alone is worth the price of admission! There are more than enough open seats to catch a ride on the trails. That plus the raffle should convince people to come.

OK...So if you need motivation to get involved...WATCH THIS (<--That's a Link...Not for dial-up! and some NSFW language)

Whose With Me?!?!?

Roger, I haven't sent in my registration yet because I was off having a baby. But I am going to register, so mark me down as attending.

When others give me excuses...I'm just gonna laugh and point them here. Glad ya'll are doing well and can't wait to see the little one. I saw pics in the other thread, and also be sure to ask Rob at GSMTR how to set up the car seat! :D He's an expert on that.

Thanks Todd for the encouraging words, registration dead line has been extended to April 21.

I am making the trip along with several other guys from Montgomery and Birmingham. It should be a good ride! We really need a good turnout this year, especially to show our support in saving Tellico!

i plan to make it but am late sending in my registration. it should make it there by the new deadline.

this year will be my 2nd GSMTR and my 3rd time to tellico, so i don't want it to end so shortly. The people at the event are all great and the trails are awesome.

i am coming with about 4 other rigs, so i will make sure that they have registered.

Thanks Vince! Glad to know ya'll are coming.

I need to call the shop and sort out my bumper issues...

EDIT: just got an email from Roger, Bumper skidplate and Roger's diff shipped today!

Roger .Will my 100 be alone again?

Thank you all for the encouragement. We are now up to 50 registered with several more promised.

The ACC crew will be there w/ at least 4 trucks and we are rallying another 2 or 3.

Todd, we still need to figure out what we are bringing for the raffle but we will have something good.
