The Bayou State group had a great time the people and park were awesome, thanks to those that led and guided the group runs Rob, Andy, Hugh and Roger it was nice to fall in with the groups on our first visit to the park. Hopefully next trip we'll bring more of the group and cook one night. Thanks for a great week, Cheers!

Glad you guys enjoyed it! I was totally drooling over that 4Runner. That thing is awesome!

Which gravel road was that picture from, G40 or G70? And what trail was the creek run, I'd like to run that this summer. I got a buddy that I am trying to talk into going up sometime soon.

That was actually G7. Nice little scenic route.

Hey Sean, what did you finally do to repair your rear?

Woke up sat 7:30 and drove into Lenoir city. 4hours later I had new wheel cylinders, shoes, drum, spring kit & brake fluid. Just in time to hook up with Rance & his gang for a day of mudness on Tr22.

I think we're keeping that a little on the DL since it's an ATV trail and technically we aren't supposed to be on it. But if you still want to know about it, PM me. But I'll tell ya straight up, it can be very unkind to body panels and roof lines of full-bodied rigs (hence the ATV designation).

Gotcha. Yeah there were a couple of those I almost started down. Rooflines you say.... been trying to decide if I need to loose my rack, sounds like it would make that decision for me.

Where you guys end up at? Only ever saw you truggy guys leaving or coming back. That park is solo massive, I only met a few others on the trails while we were out. Stayed mostly on or around the blacks I'm guessing.

I don't think I'm ever going to be able to run 22 all the way up, it was fun Saturday just wet enough to be interesting.

The rack wouldn't matter a whole lot since it'd be leaning into things that'll get ya. You'll get into your gutters, pillars and doors pretty likely; the rack would be the least of your worries.

Yeah, mostly the black trails. Sunday was 15-38-Stair Steps; Spent the whole day Monday up north on easier and more scenic stuff ("wagon trails" IMO); Tuesday we did the lower portion of Rattle Rock; Wednesday was the creek and a night run up 15; Thursday was 15-38-Stair Steps-3; Friday was 39 & 40 (Rail Trail); Saturday was 2-16(lower only)-17. Saturday was supposed to be Walden's Ridge but that could've ended up a one-way trip for one or all of us so we opted for a lazy day instead.

had a lot of fun this trip. Greg (yellow caged 4runner ) and I (pink truck) ran with steve, clutchie, and one other wednesday and had a blast. Caught up with some local people from Tampa and rode rest of week with them, got sloppy end of week, but still had fun. Blew t-case out going up little school bus friday, but got it fixed fri night so we could keep going saturday. Cant wait till next year

Steve - didnt catch back up with ya, but was wondering if you are going to post my flop/correction on stair steps. :)

I hope so, I am pissed that I missed this year! I went for a day with Roger earlier this year, really cool place... Keep the pics coming, some of those are epic...

Hehe, you should've tried 16 with us on saturday/Sunday...

Yeah. Would have been nice to drag another truck a few thousand feet in elevation! :bang::flipoff2::lol:

This place looks badass. Is this the new, permanent home of GSMTR?

That's great to hear it quickly moved to the top of my list for parks to visit :)

My rack saved my A$$ (door really) a couple times on trail 12. If you have flares on your truck you won't after you run this trail :)
