Thanks for posting up those pics. So you feel the plate adapter is better than the AA one? Did using the plate mean you didn't have to modify the driveshaft length?

I will have to contact Classic Cruisers and get a price - $500+ for an adapter seems high. Like you I got the trans for nothin and already have the 3spd TC.

i think the steel plate is better than a 6 inch adapter made from aluminum it just seems like a more direct way to attach and way tighter pakage almost like stock

best would be a plate adapter with a custom output shaft for the 465 that would let you use all the bearings in the tcase aswell as the pto gear

drive shafts were both custom made for my setup i have 60 rears so the rear shaft is longer made from a rear pickup shaft with a landcruiser end, also the front has a trail gear long spline attached to minitruck cv.

been slowly puttering away at the cruiser got my wiring harness in and the ecm mounted and some new power wire for my winch. stated to figure out the fittings for the fuel lines and got some russel fittings for the back of the tbi that go to an -6 and from there im using some salvaged fittings from an airplane with 5/16 fi hose. I dont really like the idea of running the rubber line right to the tank so I might try to rig some steel line for the frame section

also thinking of plumbing my heater to the engine and realized the water pump doesnt have the port for the heater, the only port I have is the one on the very back of the tbi manifold. anyone know a good place to tap in for the heater I want it to get good flow. I was kindof thinking of using some sort of a t fitting in the lower rad hose or maybee I should just put my old water pump any suggestions?

Aircraft flares are different than automotive, 37 degrees for aircraft and I think automotive is 45 degrees flare. Make sure your lines are the same as the fittings.

the russell fitings I bought are metric o ring adapters that go to -6an male with 37 degree flare so it works out mint with the slavaged fittings I got

got the fuel lines and stuff mostly done ill post up some pics once I get my camera back

so I ended up putting a small bump flare on the end of the steel line and used the efi rated hose with fi clamps heres a few pics :D

Too Tall and I never even bump flared our tubes and they are still holding up after almost 10 years... You should be good with that. Nice clamping and bends too.

yeah thanks

as for the flareing i just wanted it to be as good as stock or better.

its a walbro gsl395 that came with the howell wiring harness

a bit more progress in the past couple days got some of the exhaust back in with new heated o2 sensor, made a custom line from old ps hose to adapt my old hose and raised the filler neck on the ps pump for more fluid capacity and its easier to fill :grinpimp:

havent posted in a while also havent got too much done on this, had to get my honda accord dd fixed didnt feel like doing it myself needed a new timing belt. but i have been tooling around with dual batteries swapped the waterpump for one with a port for the heater and got a fuel tank to restore

pics coming soon

its alive!

got this beast fired up on sunday. it took a bit of messin around but worked out good. now it seems when the engine gets warmer the check engine light comes on and the engine revs up a bit, not sure why but might have something to do with my electric fan not coming on soon enough or maybee too soon anyways its coming along and there is light at the end of the deep dark tunnel

Congrats!!!

I got my TBI conversion started over a month ago but it's taken weeks of messing with it to where I finally think it's running right...and now that it is, it's freakin' awesome! Starts every time and runs so smooth. Still a few things to do yet, like a VSS setup, but I am really happy with it.

What error code is it throwing?
