Haven't camped at Crawford's yet, but do I need to worry about tow rig/ trailer/ camp space on Thurs? I haven't received my registration stuff in the mail - do you STLCA guys still do it that way? Or we just pick it up at Crawford's? Should I call & reserve a spot or is it first come?

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing your registration packet when we stuffed them last weekend, so I think you're OK. Hopefully Roger will see this tonight and reply to confirm. He's been there for a few days and there's no cell service I'm sorry you didn't receive the confirmation packet that we usually send out.

If you are tent camping, there should be no problems as there is plenty of room. If you're RVing it, you might want to call Crawfords and make sure they have a spot with H20/electric. Ask for Danny @ 828-837-9077 if you need to confirm anything.

Chuck, again I'm sorry things haven't been smooth, please PM me and let me know if you have any issues that aren't resolved. I'll be around all weekend and am heading up to Crawfords on Monday morning

I mailed your info packet to you about a week after you registered. The spaces are first come first served during GSMTR, you only need to call Crawfords if you are coming before Monday 14 May. The RV spaces are the only ones that get taken up early, the is plenty of tent camping and lots of room for trail and truck parking.

Had an eventful day today...


Mike Harness of Urban Land Cruisers is currently in surgery at the Asheville, NC hospital.

Myself, him and a jeep buddy were running slickrock this morning in the rain and after a few close calls were just past the face and mike dropped a tire off a ledge and had a slow roll to the driver side. He had his hand on the A-pillar handle of his FJ 40 and his index and middle finger got caught next to a rock and the tips of his fingers were crushed off.

We got him out fast and to Murphy and slowly got his broken truck back to camp.

Rest of the group headed to a friend of mine's lakehouse in Blairsville for some hot showers and cold beers.

He should be back at 3 or 4 in the morning tonight.

Don't worry organizers, whether or not he brings them to crawfords, we'll get the Urban Land Cruisers battery cables tere for the raffle.
