Just had my faxed over for my LX. The copy is barely legible and looks like it was a screen capture. They are going to send one in the mail too so hopefully that one is better.

My copy doesn't show prices for the port/factory options, it just lists them and has the original MSRP of 51,357. It doesn't have the phone listed either which mine has. Was it a dealer installed and not port installed option?

Mine wasn't a screen capture, but was printed from a webpage.

Mine doesn't have a breakdown of the MSRP price either.

My '96 came from Lexus of Glendale (just north of LA). The :princess: '97 came from Lexus of Serramonte in Colma (just south of San Fran).

Confirms my original belief that both rigs were soccer mom vehicles.

asked for one, it was a struggle.
guy kept saying that there is no such thing, they're not allowed to give anything etc.
After a long discussion he finally said he'd send me something.

Lexus rep didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for a build sheet. I had to explain the type of info I was looking for and she said she would fax it to me, which she did right away for both LX's. Fax transmission was very clear, no problems here.

1996 Lexus LX 450 (9600)
Build Date: 07/04/1996 (Fireworks to celebrate the birth of my 80 :grinpimp:)
MSRP: $51,357
Carpeted Floor Mats - Port
CD Changer - Factory
Moonroof - Factory
Wheel Locks - Port
Front/Rear Locking Diffs - Factory

I thought Toyota's listed the roof rack, rear window deflector, and side steps as options on the window sticker... no mention of those on my Lexus 80 sheet even though it came with it. Also had the Lexus mobile phone and gold package but I'm guessing that was dealer installed.

My 100 series build sheet:

2006 Lexus LX 470 (9620)
Built Date: 03/07/2006
MSRP: $69,795
Rear Spoiler - Factory
Cargo Mat, Cargo Net, Wheel Locks - Port
Roof Rack - Factory
Spare Tire Lock - Port
Lexus Link - Factory

My build sheet came from the same wepage. Does your copy have dots all over the build info in the background? the dots blend with the text making it hard to read.

My rig came from a local Lexus dealer here in CO. PO was the original owner and told me the dealer so I knew this already but it was nice to confirm it.

There are dots behind the headers (Port/Factory Installed Equipment, Standard Installed Equipment, etc). A few dots here and there on the rest of the page, but not much.

Got mine today, it shows those things as a "Port" installed option.

My MSRP $48,972!

I had the same problem the first time called. The lady said she didn't have the build info and I needed to talk to Toyota Financial. I called the same number again and the person I talked to asked me a few questions and faxed it to me within 10 minutes.:)

Some trucks could be equipped at the factory while others had equipment port installed. The difference in most of the "port" installed and "factory" installed depends on which state the truck was originally sold. Certain states had to go through port because of Toyota's deals with distributor's South East Toyota in FL, Ga, NC, SC, Gulf states in LA, TX, etc. they typically would order the vehicles from Toyota without equipment and install it at the port of arrival. Whereas certain states got/get the vehicles directly from Toyota and they are equipped at the factory with certain accessories.

The port would usually install things that can be added fairly easily, roof racks, gold pkgs, air deflectors, optional wheels, Lexus Cell phones, floor mats. etc. Almost always lockers, leather, 3rd row seats would be factory installed regardless where thay came into the country.

Hope that helps explain some of the differences.

I just received the faxed copy of mine, so it works for those of us in Canada with a US import. It does have lots of grainy dots all over it which makes it really hard to read. :meh:

My original MSRP was $50,835 and the truck came from Sansone's Route 1 Toyota in NJ. Cool stuff!

fax incomplete and poor quality

hoping for a hardcopy

I suspect they will stop doing this soon given the Mud onslaught...

This is what mine looks like. Is this what everyone else is getting?

Yup, but mine has less dots. I suspect that it has a grey background which isn't translating well between the printing and faxing.

Mine was exactly like that but no dots...very easy to read! I didnt even ask for a follow up hard copy. I don't think they will stop doing it its toyota and at some point they sold a 50K+ suv...

its the least they can do to help keep customers in this economy just my 2 cents...

I'm glad either way I could contribute to the forum.

Now if I COULD JUST FIND A REPLACEMENT COLLECTORS EDITION BADGE FOR MY FRONT DRIVERS SIDE! LOL sorry about the caps (bad typer)

ALSO....

Any guess as to how many calls they have had on this in the last few days? I bet ppl that are posting arn't all thats calling!

My fax came through barely readable... so I called back and ordered a printed version to be sent by mail - the guy was very nice anc helpful!

96r50, thats exactly what mine looked like so I asked for a mailed copy too. Should be here tomorrow.

Yeah, e-locking diffs for $825 is such a rip off.

Thats funny, almost every truck I've owned has had a locher of some kind. They all cost more than $825.00 installed... for one diff.:bang:

I think Ebag was correct about fax fax machines having trouble with shading.
